Good morning world - I have been very bad about writing book reviews and actually reading books - and I want to share with you the book that brought me back to reading.

I have been reading stories from Pirateaba since the beginning - The Wandering Inn.  Like religiously, even getting the Audible Books narrated by Andrea Parsneau - a wonderfully talented narrator.

At some point I must have heard about Gravesong - bought the Audible book and listened to it religiously while I was sleeping (that is another story) then brought the books as soon as they hit Amazon on Kindle.

Gravesong, is in the same universe as The Wandering Inn but it primarily deals with Cara O'Sullivan.

Actor, singer...necromancer?

All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world.

Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

Cara is in Galway, Ireland and is literally walking back home from an audition, when she steps off the walkway and winds up in a HUGE, like walking days in the dark, huge, underground graveyard.  And she is the only one alive, other than the rats.

I couldn't even imagine, that happening to me, I would probably have a heart attack and be joining the rest of the buried lol - not to mention that she literally is in the dark - no food no water, no cell phone, although she does manage to keep a charge on her phone through this book.

We have necromancers, the walking dead, a guardian of the tomb - Sir Dalius - he was one of many but he is the only one at this point.

Sir Dalius saves Cara - but when he breaks the magic of the tomb, it lets necromancers know that hey - you got plenty of bodies here to change.

I literally cried through this book - felt Cara's pain -  she feels she betrayed Sir Dalius and the living humans she meets - and maybe it can be that way - but in our world we don't have necromancers making living monsters.

I highly recommend this book - for an introduction into The Wandering Inn Universe and I am glad that I found it and read it because it brought my love for books back to life.
